World of Relatives

One sudden evening, my parents ask me to attend a family function because they cannot attend. Precisely speaking I already had too many things on my plate like a event, a friends wedding and what not but just to ensure my parents don't get upset, I  agree to attend the function. The story is not about attending the function but meeting people I  have never seen, never known existed. All of a sudden I was to become a part of their universe, scary!! I had to greet people but don't know who they are.

I felt was claustrophobic, strangers who are related to me but not known to me. All the while I  cursed myself to agreeing to attend. I could do was just smile because I didn't know, honesty still don't know who is who. I hardly conversed maybe someone might have thought poor girl might be dumb.

I surely should blame my parents for it. You had no time to take me to meet them, connect to them or let alone tell me they existed. I was an alien in the crowd of people. The introvert in me only could do was try to hide herself in engaging herself in listening to music,  watching TV series or do nothing but pretend to be doing something important.. I always thought what it was to be a part of joint family. I always fantasized of being a part of it. But when you are so aloof and feel like a puzzle piece which actually doesn't fit in. Maybe still this might be a start of something new, It feels so right.....  Oh song of high school musical is playing in mind. Funny!!

The December Miracle

Avantika was a girl who lived in her day dreams. She thought that she had found the perfect love of her life with whom she wants to spend rest of her life. Her dreams scattered if seconds when her boyfriend revealed, he has fallen in love with some other girl. She couldn’t mourn; she didn’t have time to collect the broken pieces of her heart. She couldn’t put her career on stake for some guy; she had her responsibilities to carry out.

Avantika completed her education and returned to her home to live with her parents. She took up a job which she was least interested in, just to support her family. She lived her life like a robot carrying out her daily routine with no social life just job, home, sleep and food. She had become person with a stone heart- no feelings, no emotions nothing. The people around her except for her family where her colleagues with whom she used to spend time but could never pour out her heart. All her female colleagues would talk about the guys they like and she did not feel a bit. She was so happy she had built a wall around herself, no one could enter and no one could hurt her.

One day, when Avantika was sitting in the cafeteria with her colleagues. The same old topic of discussion started. Sheetal- Avantika’s colleague cum friend asked, “Avu, you never told us whom do you like?” Avantika panicked, how she could tell her colleagues she felt nothing for anyone. She was afraid, they would judge her. She had to fool her colleagues by letting them know that she has a heart; she had to spot a person with great innocence and one who would rarely be in contact with her. She found the perfect one- Rishit.

Rishit was an employee of the same company where she was working, but in some another branch. He was a sweet, innocent and friendly person. Now and then he used to visit the branch office where Avantika used to work.

Everything was going fine and oops, something happened!! Someone opened their wide mouth and Rishit came to know that Avantika has a crush on him. Forcefully, Avantika had to confess a crush which never existed. Now, she was fooling herself also by trying to prove she has liking for Rishit. Slowly, Rishit and Avantika started talking to each other over text. Avantika did not want him to be hurt in anyway, so she never met him outside. All the conversation that happened between them was always over the text. In the process, Avantika had become a little dependent; she liked to tell Rishit everything that is happening in her life. A year passed this way.

One fine day, Rishit said that he wanted to confess something. Avantika was scared, she wasn’t ready.  Rishit told her that he was in love with some other girl and was planning to move out of the town. Avantika was relieved, happy for him and accepted it gracefully. She was glad that she didn’t have to be stuck with Rishit and her name was cleared as others would not think she is not normal. Her motive was fulfilled.

But, life has its funny ways. As the time for Rishit to leave neared, Avantika started feeling something funny. Her heart twitched, it ached. She couldn’t understand the reason, did she fool herself while trying to fool others. No, how can it be possible? She never felt anything. Being with Rishit, had lowered the walls around her heart without her knowing. She couldn’t tell him, because she wasn’t sure about it herself.

She decided to let the past stay in the past and went to study abroad.  Fortune had its different tale written and they met in the unknown land. The girl Rishit once loved was married to someone else. Seeing, Avantika all his feelings came back rushing which he wasn’t aware of.  He wanted to tell her something but was too afraid, how Avantika would react. Rishit was so sure he will find his December miracle and confessed his feelings towards her before it’s too late. When Rishit proposed, Avantika was stunned, she didn’t know what to do and was speechless. Avantika did not say a word and left.

Week later, someone knocked on Rishit’s door. Avantika standing in his front door with her love, Rishit received his December gift. Both found their perfect miracle. The New Year brought them joy, happiness and a new life to start with. Though, they did not have the perfect fairytale ending of happily ever after but they lived their imperfect life with perfection.

The unpredictable beings

Kids the unpredictable yet the most amazing beings created by the one sitting in the sky. When you are at your low and you know you are in the most miserable condition. Suddenly, this angel appears in front of you and says in her broken English, " madam beautiful you" followed by others, with all different versions of description about you like Cinderella, Rapunzel, Frozen princess and all the fairy tale character that ever existed or known to them. Something triggers and you lighten up, wondering why can't we see ourselves and others through the eyes of these little ones.

Their love is so contagious that you start living motherhood without actually being a mother. The attention they give to you, you become a celebrity. Unfortunately if they can't give you the same attention, you feel as if somebody has taken away your son / daughter from you. Somebody has taken away a part of your soul and then you have to shake yourself and remind they don't belong to you.

They follow you, they observe you, they want to be like you. They see something in you and fall in love with you and you never find a reason for it. Sometimes the kids aren't that impressed with you and then suddenly something happens, they start liking you. This makes you wonder what did you do to make this happen. They want to talk to you and just tell their stories and expect you to listen.

When a child who is attached to you or whom you have taught, feels grateful about you, loves you or wants to be like you is pretty normal. When a kid you have hardly seen likes you and keenly observes you is an achievement.

iMAD - I make a difference, a youth organization which works for the development of unprivileged kids, wherein every Maddie (volunteer) is allotted 5-7 kids. These Maddies  give their heart and soul to teach these angels from heaven. At the end of the season, usually the kids write a gratitude note or their experience with the dada-dìdì. Normally a child writing for his own dada-dìdì is amazing. But a child whom you hardly know and he writes for you, " mala Rajeshwari dìdì khup avadte". Gifts you his toy, pen and things.. This brings a thrill of joy to me, but still with a question lingering in my mind, what did the child observe to like me so much. .. This leaves me thinking and approving my theory of them being the most unpredictable beings and still the amazing creation.

Just a take away message, nowadays the kids are smart and the available resources have made them smarter.. What they all need is someone to listen to them, some one to care for them. Giving the cellphone, iPad, computer, toys etc and thinking you fulfilled your duty, is the most incorrect thought you are holding in your mind. Be careful how you act around them, may be unknowingly you are teaching them something..

P.S. : The draft might be vague but it is a reminder to all, stop running behind the unknown, take a breath and live a life like a child for a moment.. May the joy follow.

Confused : the state of mind ..

People just talk about others without knowing anything about them. Please stop being so judgmental. You have no idea about me. You just don't know anything about me, so please don't speak evil. I laugh, I smile and play doesn't mean I have no problems in my life. I make mistakes, I make wrong choices that doesn't mean you have to categorize me. You come and ask why do I keep myself so busy? why do I love to work for others? Why the hell do I  do this and that? So what do you want me to do just cry out and staying cribbing about my problems. When I am around people I realize the world has more problems than me. Someone has truly said, " Some thing is better than nothing" and totally agree to it. I have so much to thank for, so much to love for. But the only problem is I am afraid. Afraid of what? Afraid of people.. Whatever you say that you don't care what people think but you do.. how much can a human ignore. Though a person doesn't show doesn't mean he is not hurt.

People change over a period of time and I have also changed. I have decided to be happy, I have decided to let go. I have decided not to show my problems to the world because it has enough to handle of its own. So if I speak up openly or let out what is in my mind doesn't give you a reason to think any nonsense stuff about me that you feel. Please.. Please.. for heaven sake..

Sometimes my mind runs in many directions and I don't understand what to do.. But I know the ultimate aim that is to be happy and keep others also happy.. I know a single person cannot keep everyone happy.. But many people do it and I am going to try it. I absolutely don't want to be like these great people. The only thing I want to be is to take all the good and great qualities of others and be a unique me .. a mixture of salt and sugar. ie mixture of all the people I idealize to form a best solution of me with greater unique property..

When you have no one to speak or even you have many but you don't want to bother them. The best way to pour your heart is let it down on a paper and then you are relieved from yet another burden.. Your heart is lighter and the brain starts working great..

We Make A Difference..

When we say," I make a difference or we make a difference". What is exactly we do is the questions arising in thousands of mind.

We always have heard of many NGO working for the welfare of the society. One of such beautiful NGO I am a part of, which makes me so proud for being the part of the same. Every organisation has its story of its setup and that was the most amazing part about this NGO. The story.. mmm.. I would like to keep it suspense so you keep reading.. and also the name of the organisation I would reveal but somewhere at the end or between.. you never know.

This is one amazing organisation which works for underprivileged children from the city of Nashik. Oh.. What do we do? We give our 2 hours each Sunday to bring smiles on their face.. How do we do it? We focus on overall development of  children  by conducting activities, telling stories, inculcating values and bringing experts.. this is what a little of what we do?

But what the kids do for us is most important.. this is nothing but whenever you are around those lovely kidos, you feel you have lived the purpose of your existence. They unknowingly give you a purpose to come and be with them, every Sunday. These little ones have the aura to just make the whole air happy and peaceful. Not only do you relive your childhood but also, you want to be there all day long spending the best time of your life.. The more I am thinking the more appreciation are the only things coming in my mind.

In the whole process of appreciating I forget to mention the name iMAD.. i make a difference.
