Kids the unpredictable yet the most amazing beings created by the one sitting in the sky. When you are at your low and you know you are in the most miserable condition. Suddenly, this angel appears in front of you and says in her broken English, " madam beautiful you" followed by others, with all different versions of description about you like Cinderella, Rapunzel, Frozen princess and all the fairy tale character that ever existed or known to them. Something triggers and you lighten up, wondering why can't we see ourselves and others through the eyes of these little ones.
Their love is so contagious that you start living motherhood without actually being a mother. The attention they give to you, you become a celebrity. Unfortunately if they can't give you the same attention, you feel as if somebody has taken away your son / daughter from you. Somebody has taken away a part of your soul and then you have to shake yourself and remind they don't belong to you.
They follow you, they observe you, they want to be like you. They see something in you and fall in love with you and you never find a reason for it. Sometimes the kids aren't that impressed with you and then suddenly something happens, they start liking you. This makes you wonder what did you do to make this happen. They want to talk to you and just tell their stories and expect you to listen.
When a child who is attached to you or whom you have taught, feels grateful about you, loves you or wants to be like you is pretty normal. When a kid you have hardly seen likes you and keenly observes you is an achievement.
iMAD - I make a difference, a youth organization which works for the development of unprivileged kids, wherein every Maddie (volunteer) is allotted 5-7 kids. These Maddies give their heart and soul to teach these angels from heaven. At the end of the season, usually the kids write a gratitude note or their experience with the dada-dìdì. Normally a child writing for his own dada-dìdì is amazing. But a child whom you hardly know and he writes for you, " mala Rajeshwari dìdì khup avadte". Gifts you his toy, pen and things.. This brings a thrill of joy to me, but still with a question lingering in my mind, what did the child observe to like me so much. .. This leaves me thinking and approving my theory of them being the most unpredictable beings and still the amazing creation.
Just a take away message, nowadays the kids are smart and the available resources have made them smarter.. What they all need is someone to listen to them, some one to care for them. Giving the cellphone, iPad, computer, toys etc and thinking you fulfilled your duty, is the most incorrect thought you are holding in your mind. Be careful how you act around them, may be unknowingly you are teaching them something..
P.S. : The draft might be vague but it is a reminder to all, stop running behind the unknown, take a breath and live a life like a child for a moment.. May the joy follow.

Yeah kinds really are unpredictable, I felt the same way when I was working as a teacher. The unconditional love they give is just overwhelming. The draft is not vague, it is right on point
